Founded in 2016, Cobequid Young Company (CYCo) was established to provide dedicated Cobequid Dance Academy dancers with enhanced performance opportunities and valuable pre-professional experience. Through collaboration with a diverse range of choreographers, CYCo dancers participate in the creation of original works as well as the restaging of established repertoire. Performance highlights to date include the Rotary Club of Truro annual fundraising galas, In Concert with Coastal Dance, and New Glasgow’s Art at Night festival. CYCo dancers have also participated in collaborative projects with Omnia Dance, Onset Hip Hop, First City School of Dance and more.

Members of CYCo also have the option to participate in select dance competitions every year. To date CYCo has participated in:
